Privacy Policy

The short version: Passport Photo Coach does not collect your data.

No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and nothing is sent to us.

This policy explains how Passport Photo Coach (“the app”), a passport photo coach for iPhone, developed by Kevin Fitzgerald, handles information.

Information we collect

None. Passport Photo Coach does not collect, store, sell or share personal information on any server, and it does not include analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking tools of any kind.

Information stored on your iPhone

To work, the app keeps the following on your iPhone only:

Your settings: spoken cues, haptics and whether to take the photo by itself when every check passes
A copy of the online renewal file, made when you open that screen so you can share it or save it to Files. It is deleted when you leave that screen, or the next time the app opens

It stays in Passport Photo Coach’s own storage on your iPhone and is never sent to us. It is removed if you delete the app.

Your photos and the checks

The camera frames and the photo you take are checked on your iPhone with Apple’s Vision framework. The face landmarks and the outline of the person it finds are used only to run the checks: they are kept in memory, and never saved, sent anywhere or used for anything else. A photo you take is kept in memory and is gone when you take another or quit the app. The one exception is the online renewal copy listed above, which is deleted when you leave that screen. The app sends nothing over the internet; only the Pro purchase goes through Apple’s App Store.

Camera and Photos

Passport Photo Coach uses the back camera only to take the passport photo. It saves to Photos only when you tap Save to Photos, and it asks for add-only access, so it can’t see your other photos. When you share a file, it goes only where you send it.

Purchases

Passport Photo Coach is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details.

Children’s privacy

Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If the app ever begins collecting data, this policy will be updated before that happens.
