Privacy Policy
No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and nothing about you or your work is sent to us.
This policy explains how Fundsheet (“the app”), a Mac app that tracks grant deadlines, reporting dates, awards and payments, and keeps the board’s agendas, minutes, motions and action items, developed by Kevin Fitzgerald, handles information.
Information we collect
None. Fundsheet does not collect, store, sell or share personal information on any server, and it does not include analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking tools of any kind.
Information stored on your Mac
To work, the app keeps the following on your Mac only:
- Your organization files (funders, grants, deadlines, payments and the files you attach; the board’s members, meetings, minutes, motions and action items; your people list), where you save them
- Your settings: new-file defaults, paper size, the “prepared by” name, reminder times, whether you’ve seen the welcome screen
- Studio: a bookmark to the clients’ folder you chose, so the Portfolio can read it again
- Your license key, in your Mac’s Keychain
Organization files are saved where you choose (on your Mac or in your iCloud Drive). Settings are in Fundsheet’s preferences and the license key in your Keychain. Exports (PDF, CSV, .ics) are new files, written only where you choose.
Your files
Fundsheet runs in Apple’s App Sandbox, so it can open and save only where you choose. Your files are read and written on your Mac and never uploaded or sent anywhere. Attached files are copied into the organization file.
Not legal advice
Fundsheet counts quorum and votes by the rules you set and prints minutes in a common form. It doesn’t give legal advice: check your bylaws and state law.
Calendar and notifications
Reminders (grant deadlines and board action items) are local notifications on your Mac, and only when you turn them on. Add to Calendar asks macOS for write-only calendar access: Fundsheet can add the dates you choose but can’t see or read your calendar. Saving a calendar file (.ics) needs no permission.
Network
Fundsheet is sold directly through Gumroad, and its only network requests are the license check with Gumroad (your license key, when you enter it and about once a week) and checks for app updates at fitztoppicks.com. Neither sends anything about your grants. Fundsheet has no funder database and looks nothing up online.
Purchases
Fundsheet is sold directly through Gumroad, which handles payment and sends your receipt and license key; we never see your payment details. The app sends your license key to Gumroad to check it (when you enter it and about once a week); that is all it sends to Gumroad.
Children’s privacy
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If the app ever begins collecting data, this policy will be updated before that happens.
