Big Chore Chart privacy policy
Effective October 2, 2026
Big Chore Chart is an Android app by Kevin Fitzgerald for Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets. It does not collect your data. There are no ads, no analytics, no accounts and no server of ours. The app has no permission to use the internet at all.
What it keeps on your device
- Kids' first names (or nicknames) and the picture each one picked
- Chores, rewards, stars, and the history of chores done and rewards redeemed
- Your settings (approval, pictures only, week start, reminder time, colors, text size)
- The parent PIN, saved only as a salted hash (never the PIN itself)
- Backup files are saved only where you choose with the system file picker
This stays in the app's private storage on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it. If you turn on your device's own backup, Android may include it in that backup, which is covered by your device maker's privacy policy.
Permissions
None. The app asks for no Android permissions.
Links that leave the app
The About screen can open this page in your browser, the app's page in the Galaxy Store, or your email app to write to support. Those apps handle anything you do there.
Purchases
Big Chore Chart is a one-time purchase in the Galaxy Store, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Samsung's privacy notice covers that purchase.
Sharing and selling
Nothing is collected, so nothing is sold or shared.
Children
Big Chore Chart is made for children and collects nothing from them, so it needs no parental consent.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will show the new date.
