Playing
How do I mark a word?
Drag across it, from its first letter to its last. The line snaps straight, so it doesn’t need a steady hand. If dragging is awkward, tap the first letter and then the last. Found words are banded in color and crossed off the list.
What’s the difference between Easy, Medium and Hard?
Easy is a 10 × 10 grid with words across and down. Medium is 12 × 12 and adds diagonals. Hard is 13 × 13, and words can run in any direction, even backwards. Every listed word appears exactly once.
I’m stuck. Is there a hint?
Yes. Tap ⋯ and then Show Me a Word: a red circle marks the first letter of a word you haven’t found.
Can the letters be bigger?
Yes. Turn on Extra large letters in Settings. On iPad, the grid fills the screen; on a Mac, make the window bigger. If the colors are too busy, turn off Color found words to outline them instead.
Is there a timer?
No. Take as long as you like. Your game is saved as you play.
Puzzles
How many puzzles are free?
The first 10 puzzles at each level and Today’s Puzzle, every day. A one-time purchase unlocks every puzzle at every level.
How many themes are there?
61, from the garden and the beach to birds, music, the states and the stars. Each theme comes round again with a new mix of words and a new grid.
Does everyone get the same Today’s Puzzle?
Yes. Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day: easier early in the week, harder at the weekend.
Purchases
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles App Store refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Do I have to pay again on another iPhone or iPad?
No. Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchase.
