Big Tally privacy policy
Effective October 3, 2026
Big Tally is an Android app by Kevin Fitzgerald for Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets and Fire tablets. It does not collect your data. There are no ads, no analytics, no accounts and no server of ours. The app has no permission to use the internet at all.
What it keeps on your device
- Your counters: names, counts and step sizes
- The history of changes (counter, time, amount, count), up to the newest 3,000
- Your settings (screen on, volume buttons, buzz, below zero, text size, colors)
- A CSV file you choose to share is written to the app's private cache first; it leaves the device only through the app you pick
This stays in the app's private storage on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it. If you turn on your device's own backup, Android may include it in that backup, which is covered by your device maker's privacy policy.
Permissions
None. The app asks for no Android permissions.
Links that leave the app
The About screen can open this page in your browser, the app's page in the Galaxy Store and Amazon Appstore, or your email app to write to support. Those apps handle anything you do there.
Purchases
Big Tally is a one-time purchase in the Galaxy Store and Amazon Appstore, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Samsung's privacy notice covers that purchase. Amazon's privacy notice covers that purchase.
Sharing and selling
Nothing is collected, so nothing is sold or shared.
Children
Big Tally isn't directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will show the new date.
