Playing
How do I fill in an answer?
Tap a square, then type on the big keyboard under the clue. Tap the same square again to switch between across and down, or tap the arrows beside the clue to go to the next or previous one. On iPad in landscape and on the Mac, every clue is listed beside the grid: tap one to go to it.
Can I use my keyboard?
Yes, on a Mac or an iPad with a keyboard: type letters, Delete to erase, the arrow keys to move, Tab for the next clue (Shift-Tab for the previous one), and Space to switch between across and down.
How do I check my answers?
Tap ⋯ and Check Puzzle: wrong letters turn red. To see mistakes as soon as you type them, turn on Show mistakes right away in Settings.
I’m stuck. Is there a hint?
Yes. Tap ⋯ and Reveal Letter for the square you’re on, or Reveal Word for the whole answer. Revealed letters are shown in orange.
Can the letters be bigger?
Yes. Turn on Extra large letters in Settings. Easy puzzles have the smallest grids, so they have the biggest squares. On a Mac, make the window bigger.
Puzzles
How many puzzles are free?
The first 10 puzzles at each level and Today’s Puzzle, every day. A one-time purchase unlocks every puzzle at every level.
Where do the clues come from?
They are short, clear definitions written for the Gridlore word game: 31 themes, from the kitchen and birds to the deep sea and the cosmos.
Does everyone get the same Today’s Puzzle?
Yes. Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day: easier early in the week, harder at the weekend.

How do I get a refund?
Apple handles App Store refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Do I have to pay again on another iPhone or iPad?
No. Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchase.
