See what's slowing your Mac, in plain words, and fix it

Need a hand?

Answers to common questions are below. If yours isn’t, email help@fitztoppicks.com with your Mac model and macOS version.

Using Appmarshal

Why are some numbers a dash?

macOS lets an app without administrator rights read disk, energy, threads, files and ports only for your own processes. macOS’s own processes show their CPU and memory and are read-only.

I paused an app and it won’t respond.

That’s what pausing does: choose Resume on its row (or ⇧⌘P). Quitting Appmarshal resumes everything it paused.

What’s free, and what does a key add?

Every feature is on for 14 days. After that, Processes with Quit and Force Quit, Performance, Details, the menu bar meter and the answer to “Why is my Mac slow?” stay free. A key adds Pause and CPU limits, the one-click fixes, App history, alert notifications and switching startup agents, on up to 3 Macs. It’s a one-time purchase on Gumroad, with no subscription.

Where do I enter my license key?

Choose Appmarshal › Settings…, open the Pro tab, paste the key from your Gumroad receipt and click Activate.

How do I get updates?

Appmarshal checks for updates on its own; you can also choose Check for Updates… from the Appmarshal menu. Updates are free.

Purchases

How do I get a refund?

Gumroad handles payment. Reply to your Gumroad receipt or email help@fitztoppicks.com.

Do I have to pay again on another Mac?

No. One license key works on up to 3 of your Macs. Download the app again from your Gumroad receipt or library and enter the same key.
